Betel and Campaz are schools where we think long-term: our dream is that one day there will be no child in the area who is not attending school. Unfortunately, this is still a distant goal, but with small steps and cooperation, we can go a long way. We primarily focus on children whose families cannot afford the luxury of paying the annual tuition fees, which in most cases are equivalent to the cost of 1-2 McDonald’s dinners. Several studies and experience show that the more time a student spends in school, the greater their chances in life:

• They are more likely to get a decent job that allows them to become self-sufficient.
• This provides greater opportunities for them to start a family and take responsibility for themselves and their family.
• In many cases, the supported children, learning from their own examples, will themselves become supporters as adults.

Beyond that, attending school has countless positive effects that bring about quality changes in the lives of children and their communities.
