Our history

2008

The Beginning

The Beginning! The joint work with Valberto begins. A big dream has come true, the construction of classrooms in a new building wing has begun. In Zalán, he began the work together with the locals, which began with making adobe bricks.

2009

Library

In addition to building the classrooms, another long-standing dream began to take shape: the construction of a library, unique outside the capital, began, which was handed over together with the new classrooms. Breaking away from everyday life, we visited the surrounding villages on weekends to hold Bible school, mainly for children.

2010

100 students at Betel School already have sponsors from Hungary.

2011

Work has begun on the new kitchen and dining room for the Bethel school, as well as the construction of guest houses at the mission center.

In the neighboring village of Camocondé, construction of a house of worship has begun.

2012

The projects that had been started were completed, and the locals took possession of them, amidst great celebrations.

The Associação Amigos das Escolas de Guinea-Bissau (AAEGB), or the Friends of Guinea-Bissau Schools Association, was registered in the Bissau court, and construction of the association's headquarters, which will also house IT education and a radio station, began this year.

2013

The Bethel School continues, and through it, the support and financing of several abandoned schools in the area. Radio Voz de Paz, or Voice of Peace, is launched, albeit only intermittently.

2014

A house of prayer is being built in the village of Cassabetche.

2015

Dormitory

Zalán returns to Cacine with his wife and the construction of the dormitory at the Betel School begins.

2016

A team of Hungarian workers arrives, with their help a new house of worship is built in Cacine, and we complete the dormitory at the Bethel school.

2017

Starting this year, we will be helping Valberto's work from home.

2018

The first drilled well will be completed with Hungarian support

2020-2023

The Covid pandemic has also had a big impact on the Bethel school. Meanwhile, another well was being built in the nearby village of Camoconde.

2024

Support for Escola Emanuel Campaz has also begun. We have already found sponsors for the education of a total of 350 students.

Hungarian team in Cacine again at the beginning of the year!!

The organization of our largest project to date begins: we would like to expand the Betel School with a sports hall. We hope that sports and physical education, in addition to learning, will give the locals another opportunity to make their lives richer, more meaningful, and healthier.

The plans are for the Emanuel School well to be completed before the end of the year.

2025

The first phase of the construction of the sports hall, landscaping and foundation work, has been completed.

2026

From this year, the number of children supported at the Campaz school, in addition to the Betel school, also increased.
We will continue the construction of the hall this year, this year we would like to prepare the slabs and prepare for the next phases of work. In order for this to be possible, we will continue to collect donations.
